OceanStar Launches Public Live Demo for AI-Powered Aquaculture Monitoring Platform
By Hoang Chuong Dang
Today, OceanStar officially launched its public live demo platform, giving aquaculture operators, researchers, and industry partners direct access to a working AI-powered monitoring system for land-based aquaculture facilities across Canada.
The live demo showcases seven simulated aquaculture facilities operating in real time across different Canadian climates and species, including Atlantic Salmon, Arctic Char, Rainbow Trout, Nile Tilapia, Barramundi, White Shrimp, and Snow Crab.
Users can now explore:
- Real-time water quality monitoring
- Live outdoor weather integration
- AI-powered biological risk analysis
- XGBoost forecasting models
- Anomaly detection systems
- Fully auditable species biology rules
Unlike static product mockups, the OceanStar demo operates as a live platform with continuously refreshing sensor data, weather feeds, and AI reasoning chains.
The system combines:
- Six core water-quality parameters
- Facility-specific environmental simulation
- Real outdoor weather from Open-Meteo and Environment Canada
- Biological tolerance models with explainable AI outputs
The public launch represents a major milestone for OceanStar as the company moves toward deploying AI-driven operational intelligence tools for modern Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS).
